Does anyone know what the 1980 vintage Transformers were cast die?
I searched eBay, but did not find that many. I had a lot of miniatures as a child but can not seem to find online for my children. There are a lot of vintage plastic, but do not know what is and what die-cast were plastic ... I can not say for some pictures.
First, it is important to remember that not all figures were totally G1 die-cast figures, but they were plastic with castings. Among the many figures transformers containing metal parts were Optimus Prime, Megatron, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Jazz, Bluestreak, the Dinobots (Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Swoop, snarl), Inferno, Grapple, Tracks, smokescreen, stalking, Frenzy, Ravage, Blitzwing, the Insecticons (Bombshell, Kickback, shrapnel), Red Alert Sideswipe, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Silverbolt and Roadbuster (note this list is not complete, there are others ... these are what I remember ... or own).
